Design and product engineering are the basis of Pierluigi Floris studio, which has its conceptual roots in the Florentine design school. In this environment of old artisanal culture, combined with industrial design practice, arose the theme of the project intended as a unicum: from concept to production detail. The care for the detail and the passion for engineering distinguishes the work of the studio that appears keen on many disciplines. The studio embodies the “designer’s” position that is involved in the most contemporary themes of the discipline but, at the same time, it does not forget the manual ability and talks with the different ranges of intervention. Space planning, style and selections are merged together in one global approach. The design concept intended not as style research, but as an instrument that allows to foresee the outcome of an idea. The studio’s works meet what expressed by the Italian style in the last years, thanks to a meticulous planning and excellent quality.
